Zurich: four alleged burglars
Shortly after 6 p.m., the operations center of the canton police in Zurich received a report of a possible break-in into a single-family house in Gockhausen (municipality of Dübendorf). An alarm could be heard and a flashlight could be seen in a house. Because of this message, a police patrol broke into the designated building. The perpetrators, however, had already left the scene.
On the occasion of the search for the perpetrator, which was immediately initiated, four suspected burglars were likely to be found in the city of Zurich some time later. The four men, aged 14 to 32, come from Chile. When searching for the perpetrators, the police seized suspected crimes and tools. In addition, the police discovered that another break-in had begun in Gockhausen.
The amount of the crime stolen and the damage to property cannot yet be quantified. The investigations have started; The Forensic Institute Zurich was called in to secure evidence. In addition to the Zurich canton police, the city police of Dübendorf, Illnau-Effretikon and Uster, the Volketswil municipal police and service dogs were involved in the search.
