Frankfurt-Westend: arrest of a 23-year-old
On Wednesday, December 22nd, 2021, around 7.30 p.m., a civil patrol from the 13th police station in Graefstrasse was carrying out a check when they noticed a young man who immediately fled when they saw them.
After a short pursuit, he was arrested, but he fought back violently. He lashed out and began to scratch. The two police officers who were deployed were injured from being hit and scratched. The 27-year-old officer suffered abrasions and scratches on her left hand, but was able to continue her duty. Her 28-year-old colleague suffered a fracture on the finger of her left hand, abrasions on her knees and a torn muscle in her left thigh. He had to quit his service. It was only when a uniformed patrol was dispatched that the accused, a 23-year-old Moroccan citizen, was brought under control.
The 23-year-old, who did not have any identification papers with him, was then taken to the police station. There it turned out that there was an open pre-trial detention order against him as well as a deportation detention order from the Darmstadt regional council. At the police station, the accused suddenly stated that he felt severe pain in his knees and that his kneecaps were probably broken. The ambulance service was then notified, and they took him to a Frankfurt hospital. The investigation conducted there confirmed does not die.
