The construction of the Čebín bypass is one step closer, the winner of the competition will set it up
The tender for the construction of the Čebín South Moravian bypass in the Brno region was flawless. The contractor will be Metrostav Infrastructure. On Monday, Petr Mlsna, Chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition, confirmed the contracting authority’s correct procedure for selecting a contractor. He rejected the proposal of Eurovia, which did not agree, among other things, with the selected supplier. The contracting authority is the employees of the Administration and Maintenance of Roads of the South Moravian Region.

According to the chairman of the Office for the Protection of Competition, Petr Mlsný, the supplier met the relevant technical qualification and the contracting authority proceeded correctly in assessing the extremely low tender.
Furthermore, the President of the Office did not uphold Eurovia’s appeals, which concerned the non-reviewability of part of the first-instance decision, incorrect procedural conduct or non-reassessment of the decision on the objections by the contracting authority. “In accordance with the law, we have come to the conclusion that there are no conditions for the annulment or amendment of the contested decision of the first-instance decision,” the chairman said.
Hope for cars flooded with Čebín: the construction of the bypass is one step closer
The 3.9-kilometer-long bypass will cost more than half a billion crowns. The condition for co-financing from European subsidies is its construction by the end of next year. The bypass will help divert transit traffic on road II / 385 outside the built-up area of Čebín.
