Russian businessman Vladislav Klyushin, who was extradited from Switzerland to the United States, was charged with participating in a global scheme to trade classified information stolen from American networks. This is reported on website US Department of Justice.
Klyushin is charged with conspiracy to gain illegal access to a computer, as well as fraud. Together with him in the case are Ivan Ermakov, Nikolai Rumyantsev, Mikhail Irzak and Igor Sladkov, who were also previously charged. As noted by the US Department of Justice, illegal activities amounting to tens of millions of US dollars.

On December 18, it became known that Klyushin was extradited from Switzerland to the United States. In response to this move, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said Russia was deeply disappointed with the decision taken by the Swiss Federal Criminal Court. She noted that the Russian embassy is in contact with the entrepreneur’s lawyers.
Klyushin was arrested in the canton of Wallis at the end of March 2021 and taken into custody pending an extradition order. According to the US, the businessman and his accomplices have exchanged millions of dollars in classified data.
