The new concert film of András Keller and the Concerto Budapest Carpathian Rhapsody will debut on Sunday.
The black-and-white concert film of the whole evening, directed by Concerto Budapest, András Keller, Gábor Homoky and Old Sounds, and Ferenc Snétberger and Roby Lakatos, was made by Imre Stein, the band told MTI.
András Keller and Gábor Homoky dreamed of a special world of music, where music and classical symphony and world music are at the same time. Violin virtuoso Roby Lakatos and guitarist Ferenc Snétberger are organically connected to this world of music with their own works. The Carpathian Rhapsody is the first crossover production of Concerto Budapest. In the colorful, special 12-piece program, music of Hungarian, Gypsy, Romanian and Spanish origin reaches the world of jazz and rock and roll.
Debuting on Mezzo’s TV on Sunday, the compositions of Brahms, Enescu, Liszt, Sarasate, Bihari, Boulanger, Ferenc Snétberger and Roby Lakatos, Gábor Homoky’s special Elvis transcriptions, and Kálmán Cséki’s arrangements The film, shot at the Italian Institute in Budapest, can also be viewed by Hungarian audiences on a Hungarian Internet news portal for five days from December 22.
