The aviation group was created by Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu. The planes transported 36 tons of humanitarian aid to Georgia “for the population of Afghanistan”, including food and medicine.
Earlier, Zamir Kabulov, the special representative of the Russian president for Afghanistan, director of the second department of Asia of the Russian Foreign Ministry, spoke about the possibility of providing a loan to the Afghan government. According to the diplomat, Moscow can take such a step if the decision is made by Russian President Vladimir Putin. The special representative said that it was the West that froze Afghan assets, so the United States and the Western countries, Kabulov, bear all financial responsibility for the post-war reconstruction of Afghanistan.
