The purchase, reconstruction and extension of the home will cost more than twenty-six and a half million crowns. The South Moravian Region contributed more than two million crowns to the reconstruction of the property, which after the reconstruction will adapt to the needs of autistic people. “After the reconstruction, a cozy family house for six clients will be created there. We are happy to help them with such a crucial step in life as trying to stand on their own two feet. And in the conditions they need, “said Grolich.
The city of Brno, thirty-six municipalities in the Šlapanice region and other individual donors also contributed. The house is to be in operation from January 2023.
In the past, housing for the autistic was to be created next to a nursing home. But the idea was not liked by the local pensioners. Years ago, they even wrote a petition.
