Three areas are missing from the unified PID public transport network in the region
The so-called integration of buses in the individual regions of Central Bohemia into the unified PID transport system, on which it has been working for several years, is reaching the finals. The entire region should be ready by the middle of next year, Regional Councilor for Transport Petr Borecký (STAN) told Deník. Then the PID links across the borders of the Central Bohemian Region are to be improved.

The integration of buses in the Mladá Boleslav region, which has been in force since Sunday, brought about fundamental changes in public transport in the Central Bohemian Region – with many passengers meeting them first-hand at the start of the working week on Monday. In addition to a greater emphasis on the connection between Mladá Boleslav and Prague, many people travel differently within the region: 12 lines have been modified, 37 new lines have been created – and 77 existing ones have disappeared. The scope of this complex of timetable modifications was extraordinary. In addition, some lines to the Liberec and Hradec Králové regions were immediately connected. On the same date, integration was also expanded in the Rakovnicko region – among other things, with an emphasis on connections with Prague, but also with a new line to Žatec. And there were also changes in the connection between Prague and Českolipsko.
The aim of the integration is above all a better interconnection and continuity of connections and lines facilitating offenses not only between buses of different carriers, but also between buses and trains. Even when transferring, you can use one ticket with billing according to the time spent in the vehicles and the number of lanes over – and also with the option to pay via the Lítačka mobile application. With regular commutes, passengers should also be able to save on the past, thanks to the use of prepaid time coupons of the new tariff system.
In June, the entire territory of the region is to be integrated
Sunday’s changes were the last steps for this year as part of the expansion of the PID system to other Central Bohemian regions. Integration throughout the region will be completed next year and three smaller areas will be connected. According to Borecký, the connection of the Vlašim and Čáslav regions should take place at the beginning – and it will be done on June 12, when the integration of Březnicko will complete.
Kupka’s road works bills: one hundred kilometers were repaired this year
This will be followed by the improvement of transport connections across the borders of the region, similar to what is already the case, for example, in cooperation with Liberec or the introduction of new train lines between Pilsen and Beroun. Attention should be paid, for example, to cooperation with a Southern partner. “We also want to work on the expansion of technological platforms, a multi-channel check-in system, which we are negotiating with representatives of the Plzeňský, Liberecký and Jihočeský regions,” Borecký reminded. Does this mean that you could travel with Lítačka, for example, from Benešov to České Budějovice? Not yet, the councilor answered the Diary’s question. “More like Camp,” he said.
