USK Praha basketball players outclassed in EL Montpellier by 35 points

Prague – The USK Praha basketball players declassified 89:54 in the home match of the 8th round of the European League Montpellier and returned 74:75 from the opening match of this year’s competition. Thanks to a crushing win of 35 points, they now have a better mutual score compared to their French opponent. The Czech champion was pulled by Alyssa Thomasová, who with 18 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists almost recorded a triple double, another 17 points were added by Dragana Stankovičová. Olivia Époupaová scored 17 points in the opponent’s team.
Coach Natálie Hejková’s fellow won the prestigious competition for the fourth time in a row and they are also second in the group A table by Salamanca. At the same time, he holds the home invincibility even after the fourth match. In the next match, USK will face the MBA Moscow again at home in a week.
USK came the match with six successful attacks and took the lead 13: 5. The main driver was the American undercoat player Thomas, who scored 11 points in just five minutes. The Czech team continued in a consistent defense, punishing opponents from fast breaks and won the first quarter 28:15.
The home players did not slow down in the second part either, and in addition to six profits, they also collected six blocks in this passage. Thomas was joined by compatriot Brionna Jones with 11 or Stankovič with seven points. The lead of USK points gradually increased to 27 and the fans in the Královka hall only did not find any minor injuries to Thomas, who held her hand at the end of the first half after falling to the board. The Czech champions checked the development of the match even after the break. Nevertheless, only two three-point shots from 19 attempts hit the whole match, thanks to a solid defense and dominance on the rebound, they did not let go of a comfortable tip below 25 points. In the last part of the USK, I know the rotation of the mainstays increased the difference. The Prague team won the Euroleague for the fourth time in a row with a difference of more than 24 points.
