ephemeral vaccination centers will open in several neighborhoods
Vaccination centers are again beset with requests for appointments. Since the opening of the vaccination booster for all adults, they see their activity picking up again after the last few months of lull. To allow everyone to receive a third dose, the vaccine supply is being increased. Already, a vaccination center opened in the Barcelona room in Toulouse last Thursday. He comes replace the one installed at the convention center Pierre Baudis.
The vaccinodrome will also be restarted. Hall 8 of the former exhibition center of Île du Ramier will reopen this Thursday, December 9 2021. It aims to achieve 3,000 to 3,500 vaccinations per day. But this will not be enough in the face of strong demand. The prefect of Haute-Garonne, the departmental director of the ARS and the mayor of Toulouse have decided to create ephemeral vaccination centers. They will see the light of day from this week. These sites will be set up in different districts of Toulouse, in particular in so-called priority districts.
Where and when will these ephemeral vaccination centers open?
The first will take place at the Reynerie senior restaurant, located at 14 place André-Abbal. It will be open on Thursdays, December 9 and 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Another will be set up on Tuesday, December 14 from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Sénéchal room, 6 rue Montoyol. The third and last ephemeral vaccination center will be present on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and from 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the senior club in Saouzelong, at 70 rue Léon Bonnat.
It is possible to get vaccinated for a first injection or a booster dose within these centers. They are accessible with and without an appointment. “In the vicinity of these ephemeral centers, mediation actions will be organized in parallel in order to allow all those who wish to be vaccinated and to understand the issues”, indicates Toulouse town hall in a press release. These sites are part of local vaccination operations. Their goal is to “go to” the population. Other actions are planned throughout the month of January.
