COVID vaccination: Opening of Hall 8 in Toulouse
Étienne Guyot, Prefect of Haute-Garonne, Thierry Cardouat, Departmental Director of ARS, and Jean Luc Moudenc, Mayor of Toulouse, President of Toulouse Métropole, announce the opening on Thursday, December 9 of a new vaccination center in Hall 8 on the Ile du Ramier (Toulouse).
This center, which will gradually reach 3,000 to 3,500 vaccinations per day, will complement the offer of existing centers, which has already doubled, from 12,000 to 24,000 doses last week, in order to meet needs. It will be carried by the City of Toulouse and the SDIS 31.
It will operate with the support of mobilized students and civil protection associations. The Toulouse University Hospital will for its part, in coordination with the ARS, ensure the transfer of skills and acquired experiences. It is mainly financed by the State and the Health Insurance.
The town hall of Toulouse provides the premises, security and staff to coordinate and supply the center.
Hall 8 will operate 7 days a week from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., by appointment only. Appointments will be possible from Monday December 6 at 10 a.m. on the site keldoc.fr.
All of the department’s 12 vaccination centers will create a complementary week for private health professionals, which currently performs over 30,000 injections /.
