“Audi is going to build an extra electric car in Brussels”
The German car manufacturer Audi also wants the electric SUV Q4 e-tron to roll off the production line at Audi Brussels in the future. The trade journal Automobilwoche writes this on the basis of company sources. The factory in Forest would thus receive a second new electric model, the Q8 e-tron being built on the newly allocated Q8 e-tron. The factory is currently building the e-tron.

Next year in November, the Brussels factory will start with the construction of the Q4 e-tron, the trade journal writes. The model has been off the production line at the VW factory in Zwickau since this year, but the demand for the Q4 e-tron is high. That is why Audi also wants to build the model in Brussels, it can be read.
For Vorst, the model would be the second electric car, after the larger e-tron. Audi’s first fully electric car off the production line since 2018. The factory also builds the variant e-tron Sportback. Earlier this month, the arrival of the Q8 e-tron in 2026 was confirmed, but the factory shouldn’t have to wait that long for a newcomer.
Audi Brussels cannot confirm the news. “At Audi, we are pleased to have received positive feedback from customers and the press for the high-demand Audi Q4 e-tron,” says Peter D’hoore. “Audi continuously optimizes utilization of the production network. However, no decision has been made on this.”
