Retrofitting: from thermal to electric!
Today’s spotlight on the retrofit with Florent Favier. Each month, Florent met a “solver” in the spotlight. An adventurer engaged in the race against environmental threats, with a lot of innovation.
This is the case for Aymeric Libaud, 51, residing in Orléans. He founded his company Transition 1 to support the ecological transition and get involved. His company innovates in retrofitting.
The retrofit: KEZAKO?
The retrofit is to modify a second-hand car (retro) having a thermal engine (gasoline or diesel) by equipping it with an electric motor. So you keep your old vehicle and end up with a modern car! Your vehicle does not go to the scrapyard and does not emit any more CO2. Autonomy side, it takes an average of 100 kilometers. This retrofit, carried by Transition One, therefore meets the vast majority of our daily transport. Indeed, on average we travel 26km per day between home and work!
On the wallet side, it’s a great saving when you swap gasoline or diesel for electricity. We go from 7 to 2 euros to cover 100 kilometers.
You should be able to test these cars by the first half of 2022!
Every Monday, Florent Favier you present innovations in favor of the planet. Its mission: to make you aware of the major environmental causes, without being judgmental.
