This Saturday, November 27, 2021, François Rebsamen (PS), mayor of Dijon, symbolically pressed the red button which caused the lighting of the illuminations, of the three kilometers of light garlands of the giant tree on the Place de la Liberation, until ‘to the curtain of light that covers the Guillaume gate.
In the presence of the prefect of Côte-d’Or, Fabien Sudry, the new president of the Côte-d’Or delegation of the Chamber of Trades and Crafts, Yves Bard, and surrounded by many elected municipal officials, including Nathalie Koenders (PS), first deputy, and Nadjoua Belhadef (PS), trade and crafts deputy, the mayor then strolled to the Place de la République to share the traditional mulled wines and hot chocolates. During this time, the champion Brian Joubert, godfather of the ephemeral ice rink of Dijon, finished his demonstration.
Several hundred people accompanied this launch around the Illuminated Waders who went up the rue de la Liberté. Place de la Liberation, the 70 singers of Sing’all, led by choir directors Élodie Faivre and Rosella Cassarino, sang “Go tell it on the mountain” before continuing, alternating between gospel and Christmas carols.
