Acquisition of nationality through marriage
Resulting from a bill of the Assembly, this text relates to the time needed to be patient to become Monegasque thanks to marriage. Until now, this period was ten years, it will now be twenty years from June 30, 2022.
Vice-President Brigitte Boccone-Pagès, Rapporteur of this bill, explains this extension: “ 20 years is symbolically the time of a generation to fully integrate into our community, share our identity, our culture and our attachment to the Sovereign Prince and the Princely Family. “
The text was adopted with 16 votes in favor, two against and three abstentions.

The fight against bullying and school violence
Adopted unanimously, this text provides for awareness-raising actions within schools, aimed at teachers and students alike. A referent will also be appointed in each school, to listen to the victims, witnesses but also the perpetrators of this violence.
Another important point: the bill includes a number of provisions to establish administrative responsibility in the event of failure to organize the public education and criminal service towards the perpetrators of harassment or violence.
Finally, the text provides for the creation of a privileged interlocutor within the Department of National Education, Youth and Sports, by the designation of a Delegate for the fight against harassment and violence within the establishments. teaching.
Other texts will be debated by the National Council on December 2 and 15.
