Russia and Belarus will cooperate more actively in the sports field
Russia and the Republic of Belarus will cooperate more closely in the sports field, hold joint training events and organize the participation of the national teams of the two countries in international sports events. This was agreed upon by a collegial meeting of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus, which took place in St. Petersburg.
The meeting participants considered the promotion of joint approaches in the field of combating doping in sports, cooperation in the field of sports science and education, the development of physical culture and mass sports, the improvement of public-private partnership mechanisms in the creation of sports infrastructure.
One of the themes of the presentation of the draft concept of the assistance program “Creation of a digital platform for diagnostics of sports gifted children by integrated indicators of interaction and motor-coordinating abilities”. It has already been agreed at the level of the relevant ministries of Russia and Belarus, as well as the Ministry of Labor and the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Belarus, the State Committee on Science and Technology and involves the introduction of systems that improve the coordination of young athletes through the use of innovative technologies for early diagnosis and correction of functional disorders of the musculoskeletal system. …
As it is recognized, opening the collegium, the Minister of Sports of the Russian Federation Oleg Matytsin, only a comprehensive, scientific, methodological, systematic approach to work can achieve the sports results that Russia and Belarus expect. “We understand how difficult it is to prepare for the Beijing Olympics, and in this regard, Russia is ready to interact with the Republic of Belarus through scientific research, medical methods, medical programs in the field of sports,” he said.
Oleg Matytsin also noted the unremitting attention to the sports field on the part of the State Secretary of the Union State Dmitry Mezentsev. “We feel his support and attention to the development of physical culture and sports,” the minister said, conveyed words of greetings and gratitude to the audience from the Secretary of State.
In turn, the Minister of Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Belarus Sergei Kovalchuk stated the great potential of Russian and Belarusian athletes, noting that “it is important for us to build the right strategy, move correctly, develop correctly.”
“We interact well in matters of education, science, medicine, organization and holding of sports events,” he summed up.
