We appreciate the help of the army and have been using three people in Kolín and two in Kutná Hora for a week now, and we will ask for more, ”explained the hospital’s director Petr Chudomel, adding that the hospital’s original requirements were curtailed.
As in the rest of the country, most patients hospitalized with covid are unvaccinated. “As of November 25, we have hospitalized 54 patients with covid (32 unvaccinated), of which seven require a stay in the ICU (five unvaccinated) and two artificial lung ventilation,” said hospital director Petr Chudomel.
Crusades: No state of danger required
The only regional hospital in the Central Bohemian Region that has not yet had to proceed with the reduction of elective care is Klaudián Hospital in Mladá Boleslav.
“This morning there was a crisis staff and it is true that we do not limit elective care yet,” Hana Kopalová, a spokeswoman for the hospital in Mladá Boleslav, told iDNES.cz on Thursday, adding that the hospital still has reserves in the ICU and ARO departments.
However, according to the region’s crisis staff, Central Bohemian hospitals are still managing the situation with the covid and it is therefore not necessary to declare a state of danger or request a declaration of a state of emergency.
“Given the information we have, especially from the hospital, we agreed at the crisis staff that it is not necessary now to declare a state of danger or even request a declaration of a state of emergency,” said Governor Petra Pecková on Wednesday.
