The vaccinated people who travel to Bulgaria from Greece are in a ten-day quarantine
The Bulgarian authorities tightening them measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus for those who enter their territory from the Greek territory, through the border stations of the two countries. As it became known from police sources, at the border station of Promachonas, Serres, “By classifying Greece in the ‘red’ zone of the epidemiological map, the Bulgarian Ministry of Health, with a decision taken on November 19th, implemented new measures from today at dawn.”
According to the same sources, according to the new measures in force, those who do not have a vaccination certificate or intellect, will be able to travel to the neighboring country with a negative molecular test (PCR) within 72 hours, but will be placed in self-restraint (“quarantine”) for ten days. Practically, the passage to Bulgaria from Greece is carried out with certificates of vaccination or intellect and in addition with the presentation of a negative molecular test of 72 hours. The same measure applies to children over 12 years. According to the same sources, international transport bus drivers and co-drivers, international truck drivers, border workers, ship and aircraft crew members, pupils and students traveling to and from Bulgaria at least once a week are exempted from the above measure. as well as children under 12 years. These measures come into force at a time when there is an outbreak in Bulgaria cases of Covid-19 disease, while this development provoked the strong protest of Greek drivers who for business and commercial reasons make frequent trips to the neighboring country. According to officials at the Promachonas customs, since the early hours of the morning at least ten drivers have returned to Greek territory in view of the implementation of the new measures.
