Lunar is recruiting from Danske Bank to focus on small businesses
Suryadeep Seel has been central in Danske Bank’s work to digitize contact with corporate customers. He will now lead the challenger bank Lunar’s investment in Norwegian small businesses.
The goal for Lunar is to have a place in digital corporate banking which is built for start-ups and small businesses in the Nordic region, also in Norway during the first half of 2022.
– We are super happy to have Deep on the team. He adds heavy expertise in the small business segment to our team here in Norway. It is very valuable when we have to bank in new digital ways for start-ups and micro-companies, says Norwegian head of Lunar, Eilin Schjetne in a press release.
Suryadeep Seal comes from the job as head of the Nordic strategy unit in Group Technology & Services at Danske Bank at the head office in Copenhagen.
Danske Bank has worked with the development of new digital platforms, channel strategies, service models and customer demands for the SME market. Among other things, he led the migration of Danske Bank’s corporate customers to a new digital platform, and was central in the development of a digital service model for the bank’s SMB customers.
– In Norway, there are over 500,000 small companies with less than 20 employees. Although the bank has tried to meet the needs and engage in this market, there is great potential for delivering better customer experiences and creating necessary customer loyalty, Suryadeep Seal said in the press release.
– Here we see great opportunities because it is precisely in this market that Lunar has had great success in Denmark. We will take the best from the Danish solution and adapt to Norwegian needs. The small businesses are very much looking forward to the future, he adds.
