The first Ranute store opened in Swiss, near Lausanne, last December. A small event which the press, including the French, had widely echoed: the first shop dedicated to menstruation opened its doors.
First establishment in France
Since then the concept has proven itself and Eléonore Arnaud, the founder of Ranute, has decided to open her first boutique in France. And it’s Toulouse that she chose for this first implantation.
“It’s a dynamic city, with a lot of students,” explains the founder. The energy of Toulouse corresponds well to the spirit of Ranute. ”
Boulevard Armand-Duportal
The Ranute store therefore opened on Saturday, November 20, boulevard Armand-Duportal, a stone’s throw from Toulouse Capitole 1 University. In this new store you can find all the products dedicated to menstruation.
“It’s still crazy that this kind of store did not exist before, sighs Eléonore Arnaud. The rules still apply to half of the population for 40 years of their life. We have shoe shops, but nothing for menstruation! ”
Reusable protections and wellness products
At Ranute, there are therefore protections, “all reusable”: period panties, cup, washable towels… But also well-being products to better support this sometimes painful period of the month: herbal teas, balms, patches…
“It is also a place of advice and information. We are going to organize conferences and workshops. We wanted to make a place that is not medical, but very relaxed.”
Toulouse before other cities in France
Ultimately, Ranute could also offer products to deal with urinary leakage or to better work the perineum. And should also develop beyond the Pink City. “Toulouse is a test market, analyzes Eléonore Arnaud. But we are confident, the Swiss store is working very well. ”
