Prague – Due to the worsening coronavirus epidemic, the government has approved regular comprehensive testing in primary and secondary schools. Companies must also regularly test unvaccinated workers once a week from Monday, you must take the test. Authorities should make the most of working from home. However, the resigned Prime Minister Andrej Babiš (YES) stated that the Czechia would not follow the example of Austria, which today announced a comprehensive closure and mandatory vaccination against covid-19.
The government has also approved proposals to introduce a crisis nursing allowance of 80 percent of the earnings base, as well as a contribution of up to 370 crowns per day to compensate wages or salaries for quarantined people. The contribution should increase people’s willingness to be treated or quarantined and also report potential risk contacts. Both grants should be paid back from November. But the amendments have yet to be adopted by the House and Senate and signed by the President.
Laboratories detected 13,374 cases of coronavirus on Thursday. That’s almost 3,000 more than a week ago. The number of hospitalized rises to 4750, almost 700 patients are in severe condition. The so-called incidence number is also constantly growing, ie the number of new infections in the past seven days per 100,000 inhabitants. To date, it has risen from 819 to 847.

The Association of Hotels and Restaurants of the Czech Republic called on the government to grant an exemption on Thursday. If people traveling for work could not be accommodated, it would cripple companies according to our activities.
Comprehensive testing in schools will take place every Monday. It should last until the end of February, it will not apply to the vaccinated. The state provides antigen tests for schools. He wants to take advantage of the opportunity to order 1.6 million tests from a previous contract won by Batist Medical in July. At the government meeting on Monday, all ministers have to submit requests for tests not only for schools by the end of February.
The obligation to test unvaccinated employees in companies also applies to self-employed persons. It will not apply to those who have been vaccinated for more than 60 years, as the government has thought. Businesses can use antigen tests, including self-test kits. If an employee tests decisively, they must follow anti-epidemic measures. They must wear a respirator throughout working hours, keep spacing, separate meals, limited contact with others. In addition, the employer must report the refusal to test to the relevant regional hygienic station.
