Problems making appointments
Minke (28): “I’ve been trying to make an appointment for two days now, but I can’t get through it. Not by phone but also online is not possible. When I cycled to a test bus a few days ago, it turned out to be closed because employees were infected. Fortunately, it has now been successful at the test location in Amsterdam-North. I had to queue for about 40 minutes for a test without an appointment.”

Charlotte (31) also had difficulty making an appointment. After being sick at home for almost a week, she finally got an appointment for a test. “I intend everything and receive it to make an appointment online. I think it was just the time, maybe there were fewer people online late at night.”
Tips for making an appointment
It is very busy at the GGD when it comes to making test appointments. Many people want to be tested and there is not enough supply. There are possible circumstances that you can come to the injection location without an appointment. During these so-called off-peak hours it is less crowded and there is a greater chance that it will be your turn sooner.
Off-peak locations:
- from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
- from 1 pm to 2 pm
Off-peak hours make appointments online:
Make an appointment online occasionally succeeds. It is best to try this early in the morning or late in the evening. When fewer people are online. It also helps to try freshening it up later. You often see that there are no more appointments available, but this is not correct. Someone who schedules an appointment online will see three options. For that person appointments are confirmed, those three options are held. After the appointment confirmation, the other two options are free again.
