Health – Hanover – Because: nationwide 2G is coming, 2G plus is to be expected – health
Hanover / Berlin (dpa / lni) – According to Prime Minister Stephan Weil, the nationwide uniform tightening of the corona rules in the case of more heavily burdened hospitals will soon lead to the introduction of the 2G rule in Lower Saxony as well. “We see 2G nationwide with a hospitalization level of 3. In Lower Saxony we are today at 4.7,” said the SPD politician on Thursday evening after the deliberations of the federal and state governments. The new Corona regulation in the country should apply from next Tuesday (November 23).
From a value of 6 new hospital admissions of corona infected people per 100,000 inhabitants over seven days, 2G plus should then apply “This is to be expected in Lower Saxony sooner or later,” said Weil.
In the event of an incidence of hospitalization – in Lower Saxony the leading indicator for assessing the corona situation for some time – above 9, the federal states can implement further tightening. If necessary, there will be individual regulations for this, so Weil. Thursday’s resolutions stipulate that complete winter lockdowns should be prevented IF at all possible. In extreme cases, however, regional closings of leisure, sports and cultural facilities or clubs and shops should be possible.
Despite all the criticism of politics, an important signal from the recent talks is that there is now agreement instead of disputes on many points. “We really have one big concern together,” said Weil. “We are in the midst of a tough wave of infections. We know that we can only fight this pandemic together.”
