Today, unfortunately, it has become clear that he has not been able to hold the event this year either.
Unfortunately, we won’t swim the restrictions this winter either, as the number of people infected with Covid19 is skyrocketing and more and more people are being hospitalized. For the first time, the Hungarian government is obliged to wear a mask only on public transport, but from November 20, only those who properly cover their noses and mouths will be in closed spaces, such as cinemas, theaters and shops.
Although no announcements have been made in this regard, all indications are that the events planned for the rest of the year will not be possible. In anticipation of further restrictions, the organizers of Budapest Comic Con decided to postpone the event and reschedule it next summer.
According to a statement on the official website, they have come to the conclusion that they cannot morally afford to hold the event in December, given the current circumstances. Even though they’ve been working on the event for months and the postponement is causing another serious financial loss, it feels like a decision for fans as well.
