Justin Bieber to Norway in 2022 – VG
The last time the superstar visited the country, he was in Stavanger. Now a new big concert awaits in a new city, in a new area.
Bieber will take his “Justice World Tour” to Trondheim on August 7, 2022, where he will play at Leangen trotting track. This is what concert organizer All Things Live tells VG.
– The concert of the times in Trondheim, brags Kristian Digre in Livesentralen, who is a local partner for the event.
– The concert at Leangen will be his only in Norway on the upcoming tour, and one of only four concerts in Europe in 2022, Digre continues.
At Biebers tour list Skanderborg in Denmark will be built on 3 August, Malmö in Sweden on 5 August and Helsinki in Finland on 9 August.
The tour will continue in 2023, but at the moment Norway is not on the plan then. On the other hand, Stockholm and Copenhagen will be visited by Bieber in March 2023.
Mark Vaughn in All Things Live tells VG at Bieber’s great and sustained popularity in Norway has been an important factor in Trondheim becoming one of the European cities Bieber will visit in 2022.
– Norway loves Justin, and this is clearly an important factor for Bieber and his team.
Trotting tracks seem to be Bieber’s new thing in Norway; in Stavanger 2017 he performed at Forus.
First man on the court
Vaughn says that it will be put out with 40,000 tickets for the concert, which goes under the banner “Trondheim Summertime” and will offer more artists in addition to Bieber.
The Leangen trotting track was originally to be used as a concert area for the first time this year, with Rammstein. Due to the corona, however, the concert was moved to Oslo in 2022.
Now it will instead be Bieber who first gets to test the track as a concert venue.
– We have made careful investigations of the area together with Livesentralen, says Vaughn.
He says they have been working for several months with Bieber’s team to find the right venue for the show.
– Trondheim is a city that has shown that they are eager to see the world’s biggest stars perform there, and we believe this concert will put Trondheim on the map as an excellent place for the real store to come and play.
Fresh hits in the luggage
All Things Live conveys this quote from Bieber himself:
– We have worked hard to make the best show we have ever done, and can hardly wait to share it with fans around the world. See you soon.
Bieber’s track record is long and well known, and the 27-year-old has in no way lost his grip on the charts.
Just the last few months he has topped the VG list with both «Peaches» and «Stay» – the latter and collaboration with the Australian rapper The Kid Laroi. “Stay” recently passed one billion Spotify listens worldwide.
– The demand for Bieber has been huge after his previous visit, says Peer Osmundsvaag in All Things Live.
