Toulouse: calm night in Bagatelle but a man arrested with a kilo of cannabis
After incidents on Saturday afternoon, the evening and night were calm in the Bagatelle district in Toulouse. But an individual was arrested with a kilo of cannabis.
Following the incidents which broke out on Saturday afternoon, a patrol of the Mirial specialized field brigade was violently attacked by several dozen individuals (some sources even mention a hundred people), the police had increased its personnel on the Mirial, Saturday evening in Toulouse.
But there was no problem on Saturday evening and then at night. No mortar fire, no stones, no burnt car.
In the afternoon, the police officers taken to task were to receive significant reinforcements to manage to disperse the attackers who would have been brought together by the shooting of a clip. Tear gas grenades were used in particular to stop the stones and other mortar fire, fireworks rockets, horizontally.
A young man was arrested by the anti-crime squad with a mortar in his hand. That he had used? The police suspect him. This suspect is still in custody this Sunday at the end of the morning.
He was joined in police custody by another individual who was arrested in the middle of the evening, around 10:30 p.m., in the Bagatelle district. Police officers carried out an identity check and discovered in a bag that he was carrying a kilo of cannabis resin.
In a statement released Saturday evening, Alliance Police Nationale denounces the incidents of Saturday afternoon and congratulates the police for their composure and the arrest of the suspect. The union is also demanding from the courts “heavy penalties commensurate with recurring incidents for individuals who are often repeat offenders”.
