As a Covid patient, Wagner had to be transferred to the intensive care unit at the Landeskrankenhaus-Feldbach – “including deep sleep and artificial ventilation,” as he wrote in a Facebook post. He only barely jumped the shovel of death. “Unfortunately, I took Corona so badly that I had to fight for my life in intensive care!”

Now the RFJ boss is striking a completely new and unusual tone for an FPÖ man. “And yes, I make a secret of it: I didn’t always think that it wouldn’t hit me when I was 28 and I was rather careless”, Wagner. Then he continues: “You thought wrong .. I won the real jackpot.”

In his posting, the politician also thanks the staff of the Feldbach hospital. “I hope that at some point you can read my post and realize how EXTREMELY grateful I am to you. You sacrificed yourself so extremely for me and helped me with my fight and, above all, tried to take so much fear away from me!” Wagner sends an emotional greeting to the hospital staff online.

“Most of all, you made sure that you help me with my fight wherever you can – you were there day and night and even pushed overtime to be there for me! And can write these lines here today!”

In any case, he now wants to take it easy so that he can concentrate fully on his recovery. The 28-year-old emphasizes that he will have to relearn the simplest things. Above all, Wagner will give his followers one piece of advice. “Covid can strike extremely hard and extremely and throw you off course! Just take care of yourself!”, Said the Styrian.

Then the great news: “And who should ask: I am now considered recovered, but I will definitely have my vaccination in six months! I don’t want to experience that again!”
