the former mayor, Jean-Luc Rigaut, calls for a referendum
While during the agglomeration council of November 18, elected officials will have to choose the scenario for the future Annecy transport network, the situation is increasingly complicated. While two scenarios remained in the running for the last vote, the president of the Agglomeration, Frédérique Lardet, decided, after the public meeting of November 9 organized by the city, to put the six initial scenarios to the vote.
This Friday evening, the municipality said, for its part, the opening of a survey to know the wishes of the population.
Opposition municipal councilor and previous mayor, Jean-Luc Rigaut, respondent, this Friday evening, to “the holding of a referendum. This decision will bind the people of Annecy, their children and their grandchildren. It should not be priced by three elected in an office. It is also the only way to stop the chicanery between them. This referendum must concern all the inhabitants of the Agglomeration ”.
While the vote is on the agenda of the next agglomeration council, Jean-Luc Rigaut wants to convince, by Thursday, “the mayors to request the report of the vote and the establishment of a referendum. I also wish to present my solution which is to favor the tram, but with a longer reimbursement, so as to reduce the load. Even if there is only 35% participation in this referendum, it will carry more weight than a few elected officials ”.
