“A really good game from us”: Egestorfer with a lot of praise after the test against 96

Double leadership
In the 2-5 defeat during the week against the second division side, the Egestorf team took the lead twice and were 2-1 up until the 70th minute. “For long stretches it was a real game for us,” says coach Paul Nieber.
Good squad also in terms of width
And that also applies to the phase after the many changes. “That shows how well our squad is set up across the board,” says the coach.
The fourth in the table from Wolfenbüttel will give everything to get three points. “The MTV is under extreme pressure, they want with all their might in the promotion round,” says Nieber. The front runner from Deister already has the ticket for the regional league games.
“No response” to Egestorf’s request
Because of Wednesday’s test match against the 96 professionals, Germania asked the Wolfenbüttel team whether it could be moved to Sunday. “But there was no reaction,” says Nieber. He is hoping for the appearances of Ole Schöttelndreier (comes from an injury break), Nick Bode and Robin Gaida (both injured).
