He was the first running mate presented by the candidate Jean-Luc Moudenc, during the Municipal 2020 campaign, embodying the “new faces from civil society” then desired by the mayor (LR) of Toulouse. Two years later, Nicolas misiak presides over the destinies of Tisséo Voyageurs. On the occasion of his board of directors, this municipal and metropolitan councilor of 44 years was elected Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at the head of this structure which ensures the operation of the entire public transport network in the greater Toulouse area.
A “smart city” enthusiast
At the end of 2019, he had been presented by the candidate-mayor as “a young entrepreneur who is bathed in digital” and passionate about “smart city”. Jean-Luc Moudenc even saw in him the winning combo of the future Municipalities: “Startup spirit, urban ecology and mobility”. After the election, he became a municipal councilor responsible for ecology in town by district, for the modernization of the administration and the development of digital technology. He also chairs the Mobility Commission of Toulouse Métropole.
A specialist in “intelligent transport”
Master’s degree fr intelligent transport systems from the Ponts-et-Chaussées school, Nicolas Misiak has spent most of his career in Paris, advising on the digital transformation of companies. He has been living in Toulouse for six years.
After working for seven years in a start-up, then 13 years at Sopra Steria, in 2018 he created “Ublu”, a new technology services start-up, specializing in digital transformation. Politically “between center-right and ecology”, he was committed with Jean-Luc Moudenc because he said “to appreciate the progress launched by the municipal team (…) in terms softening of mobility ”.
He replaces astronaut Philippe Perrin
If the presidency of Tisséo Collectivités, the organizing authority for urban transport, remains delegated to Jean-Michel Lattes, it is therefore Nicolas Misiak who takes control of Tisséo Voyageurs, the flagship in charge of operating the network, instead. and place of Philippe Perrin. Since 2021, Nicolas Misiak has also been vice-president of Tisséo Ingénierie, Tisséo’s third entity, which conducts studies and the construction of new infrastructures.
Also elected in the “civil society” quota of the Moudenc list, astronaut Philippe Perrin had resigned of Tisséo Voyageurs last June, due in particular to disputes with the executive and the director of the structure.
The planets were no longer aligned between the mayor and his “Mr. bike” … The astronaut was not in his place, and was not hiding it. The two men ended up cutting the bridges, and Jean-Luc Moudenc finally deprived him of all his delegations, in the City as in the Metropolis.
