Sweden removes entry ban for vaccinated travelers from Armenia – Public Radio of Armenia
Fully vaccinated Armenians will soon be able to travel to Sweden without being covered by the entry ban or additional travel rules as test requirements, the Swedish Ministry of Justice has announced.
“The government today adopted changes to the temporary travel ban to Sweden. The changes primarily mean that additional people who can present a vaccine certificate issued in Armenia are exempt from the entry ban and the test requirement “, the statement says.
The decision will take effect on Monday 15 November.
The temporary entry ban took effect on March 19 and was initially valid for 30 days. It has since been extended following recommendations from the European Commission and the Council of the European Union.
The Government’s decision today means that people who travel to Sweden and who can present a vaccination certificate issued in Armenia are exempt from the entry ban and the test requirement. According to a decision by the European Commission, vaccination certificates issued in Armenia are equivalent to EU digital covid certificates, which means that such certificates can be checked and verified in the same way and with the same technical system as the EU certificate.
