Journal Frankfurt Nachrichten – Three Frankfurt companies among the award winners
This year’s winners of the Hessian Founders’ Prize include three companies from the Main metropolis. Two of them also position themselves on the podium.
Enviria Energy Holding relies on renewable energies
Enviria is based on Mainzer Landstrasse and is a start-up company that is active in the field of renewable energy sources. “With the network we are creating, we want to give companies access to renewable energies,” says Dominik Huber, Marketing Communications Manager at Enviria. This simplifies the energy transition for the corporations, says Huber. “Companies in particular consume a lot of electricity and we want to offer suitable solutions and remove previous hurdles. The topic of sustainability affects everyone, not just private households ”. Envirias members include people from banking, international business, civil engineering and electrical engineering.
Graphic idea textile advertising concentrates on a sustainable textile industry
The Höchst company, Graphic Idea Textile Advertising, has been printing and embroidering textiles since 1987 – be it for clubs, sports retail, industry or advertising agencies and fashion labels. The company has existed for more than 20 years, but innovations only came with the new head of Sebastian Borst. “Textile printing shops are mostly continued within the family; It’s different in my case, ”says Borst. He himself worked for 17 years as an employee at graphic idea textile advertising before he was taken over as managing director. “As a former employee, I know what employees wanted – we have optimized the company accordingly and made it cooler,” says Borst. He and his employees worked to the highest standard and put sustainable production first. Since this year, the company has also been certified with the Global Organic Textile Standard – a worldwide standard for the fair processing of textiles made from certified organic natural fibers.
The Dignity Center Frankfurt would like to enable a dignified farewell
The dignity center in Sachsenhausen was founded in the summer of 2016 and consists of palliative medicine specialists and palliative care staff who want to accompany seriously ill people on their last journey. “For many people it is a challenge to deal with the finiteness of life. We want to offer social help so that people learn to deal with the topic better, ”says co-founder Ingmar Hornke. The dignity center wants to show people how to be able to act and to encourage them to take on responsibility together. “We want to participate in the general care culture and cultivate it further,” said Hornke. In addition, the co-founder emphasizes that the dignity center, the first non-profit company to emerge as a winner of the Hessian Founders Award, is start-ups, not for financial, but for social gain.
The Hessian Founders Prize is organized by Kiz Sinnova GmbH in cooperation with the Hessian Ministry of Economics and takes place regularly in another Hessian region. The venue for the award ceremony in 2022 has also already been determined: Frankfurt’s economic department head, Stephanie Wüst (FDP), has distributed the “HGP baton” to Kai Lorenz Wittrock. He is the managing director of the Kassel Region Economic Development Agency; the venue for the HGP22.
