Toulouse. The Toulousaines were able to react in time
Abused in the first period, Isabelle Strunc’s teammates made the difference in the third quarter against the valiant but too feverish Manchoises last night, as part of the 7th day of the LF2 championship.
The first quarter is very close with two teams entering the game well (7-9, 4th). In the game, the Cherbourgoise Yvanna Enjolvy carries her teammates (three 3-point shots in this first act, all converted). Opposite, Kalis Loyd, one of the best players in LF2, struggles to take off (3 points). We remember the aggressiveness of the Toulousaines, who saw the lead without winning the Normans (17-21, 10th).
A new three points from Enjolvy confirms the excellent dynamic of the Normans (27-23, 13th), but their seven stray balls in less than a quarter of an hour of play allow Xavier Noguera’s daughters to stay up to date (27 -27, 14th). The end of the second act is more difficult, with only 35% success at two points and Cherbourg women as biting in defense as insolent at 3 points (53%). The red lantern joined the locker room in the lead (39-34, 20th).
The return of the Toulouse locker room is of a different ilk. Taking advantage of Manchoises’ stupid ball losses, Strunc’s teammates catch up and even fly away, inflicting a scathing 12-2 to the locals (41-46, 22nd). What stuns the Manchoises and their public. Cherbourg whips, returns to courage (52-52, 28th), but Toulouse presses again on the accelerator at the end of the third quarter (52-56, 30th).
Xavier Noguera’s players are well helped by the catastrophic start of the Manchoises in the last act to create a decisive gap (54-63, 32nd). The logic is respected and with a Kalis Loyd found (19 points), the Toulouse Métropole brings back the victory in Haute-Garonne.
