Sailing: Sloughi’s crew brings back one more trophy from Marseille
While they had missed the first step of the podium by a point in 2019, the Rivas family and their teammates won in Marseille, the weekend of October 29 to November 1, the Holy Grail of Mediterranean regattas, the famous Nautical Week. international Mediterranean.
This edition took place in windy and rainy conditions due to the passage of a depression. In the IRC2 class, Sloughi’s crew left their direct rivals no chance by winning three of the four races in strong winds. Congratulations to all the crew, who will be delighted to meet again at the Cercle nautique de Palavas (CNP) regattas and who remain a benchmark to beat on their waterways.
On the same weekend, the European Surprise took place in Thonon-les-Bains. Unlike Marseille, the total lack of wind made it impossible to do more than three races over the four days of the regatta. A great frustration for the two Palavasian crews (Mister X and Get) who could not compete with the Swiss crews used to these lake conditions.

The previous weekend, Pascale Boissier took part in Martigues in the Women Leading & Sailing Trophy, a women’s regatta organized by the French Sailing Federation.
The Cercle nautique de Palavas, headed by its president Pierre Carayon, is still active and at the top of performance thanks to its licenses which do not hesitate to go up against the highest level of habitable sailing.
