British airline Jet2.com returned to Prague after a year and a half

Airline Jet2.com on Friday it resumed its regular flights to Prague on several routes from Great Britain. This was after a break of more than a year and a half due to the coronavirus pandemic and related travel restrictions.
He was the first to land at Václav Havel Prague Airport shortly after 11 o’clock Boeing 737-800 G-GDFW registration on the Leeds line. This Jet2.com aircraft flies in livery to the sister travel agency Jet2Holidays, which sells trips to holiday destinations served by the company. Flights from Leeds to Prague will operate twice a week on Mondays and Fridays, and Jet2.com will be the carrier’s sole operator on this route.

At 12:32 another Boeing 737-800 of Jet2.com carrying the G-GDFC registration landed on Ruzyně, namely on the Birmingham route. The aircraft was in the classic Jet2.com livery The connection from this English city will be operated twice a week during the winter with flights always on Mondays and Fridays. Jet2.com will compete with its Eurowings base in Prague over the years to Birmingham.

In the early evening at 17:29, the last Boeing 737-800 of G-JZBR registration landed at Prague Airport, which launched line from Manchester. The aircraft was also in a livery promoting the travel agency Jet2Holidays. The Manchester route will operate twice a week for the next two weeks, with flights on Mondays and Fridays. From November 22, an increase to four years a week is planned, when the company will also add flights on Thursdays and Sundays. Shortly before Christmas, the frequency is to decrease again in two years a week. Jet2.com is currently the third carrier to fly between Prague and Manchester. The British companies Ryanair and easyJet have already resumed their flights on this route.

Jet2.com will resume its flights next Friday from Newcastle to Prague. During the winter season, the route will also be operated twice a week, with flights always on Mondays and Fridays, and Jet2.com will be the only carrier flying on this route.
Thanks to the resumption of Jet2.com flights, Prague Airport will get two more destinations (Leeds and Newcastle), to which flights from Prague are flying again. Recall that last week British Airways resumed its scheduled flights to London City Airport. This month, Prague will have regular connections with ten airports in the United Kingdom.
