Machine lovers are crying. The Brno clubhouse of railway modellers will go to the ground
“We have heard that there are plans to revitalize the complex. These buildings are to be demolished and something else is to be built here. For us, this de facto means that we have to move out of here, “said the chairman of the Club of Railway Modelers Brno Jiří Veselý.
The building where the train exhibition is located will go to the ground.

Where they will move, but I have no idea yet. The club is unable to find new premises and there is a risk that the models will end up in the warehouse.
“We are a non-profit, we run children’s and youth groups, and if you realize that there are about thirty of us and share the commercial price of thirty, then the amount of the contribution is unrealistic,” Veselý explained, adding that they manage to get smaller sponsors. , but it is not enough to tighten.
A popular exhibition of trains, which they have spread on the third floor of the former Mosilana spinning mill in Brno, so people will probably only be able to see until March.
On an area of about one hundred square meters, there are hand-made models of trains and tracks from different periods. The tracks are based on real stations, and enthusiasts have studied the present and history.
The exhibition is admired by small and large.

“Thanks to the unique traffic control system, we can operate a relatively large number of machines at the same time, around eighty to ninety sets at a time,” Veselý explained. They also change the exhibition regularly, with models from different time periods driving around the tracks every week.
“We are currently in the fifth epoch, which is the period 1970-1974. the exhibition was to be only four weeks old, we started with the oldest era, namely steam engines, followed by the transition to diesels, ”Veselý, in that the exhibition is open to visitors every week from Thursday to Sunday.
