DA Z – Digital Art Zurich: Great success for the second edition of the Digital Arts Festival Zurich
The top-class program focuses on the discourse on global social development and the influence of digitization on our everyday lives. For example the opening performance by Filipe Vilas-Boas (PT), “Carrying the Cross”, which questioned the power of social media. The Facebook “F”, carried like a cross through the streets of Zurich, visibly attracted the interest of the audience.
The live performances such as in the Museum für Gestaltung, where the award-winning MONOCOLOR presented its audiovisual performance, created especially for the DA Z, attracted a particularly large audience. Likewise the VR programs, which were fully booked. The live coding performances and the Algorave were further highlights that brought this digital art form closer to a wide audience.
Concerts
Young Swiss talents presented their skills in the Wasserkirche. Electronic music combined with visual art on the eight-meter-high screen in the ship’s altar fascinated the guests and encouraged them to sit down on the carpet of the church and indulge in the audio-visual experience.
Concert in the Wasserkirche
The final concert of the legendary electro duo Mouse on Mars with “AAI – Anarchic Artificial Intelligence” – also accompanied by an artificial intelligence – thrilled the fans in Moods.
