Parking Prague 4 – where to park, maps of parking lots and zones
Prague 4 is already a relatively large part of the city, so you will find places to park for free. However, it is necessary to take into account mild complications. The area is located in the cadastral area of Braník, Krč, Lhotka and Podolí. However, it partly extends to Nusle, Michle, Záběhlice and also to Vinohrady.
Where to park in Prague 4
As a person who has lived in Prague for several years, I am used to parking and paying, so I am not looking for hidden places where it might be possible to save a few crowns. In addition, parking in this area is much easier, because there are not so many cars. If longitudinal parking is a problem for you, then you can wave it over, because it is not a millimeter in Podolí, for example, but you also have a few meters to back up there. Especially on weekends, when the area around Podolí is completely emptied. The truth of the week is worse, but it is also possible.
While wandering around Prague, you can find areas where there is no blue zone yet – but according to the latest reports, this is set to change and sooner or later it will be blue throughout the area. You can find “gray” zones for parking and therefore largely unpaid, for example, in Hodkovičky, in the part of Braník or also in Krč – so just search. However, in addition to blue, in some parts there is also mixed zoneswhich are usually cheaper.
The possibilities for what to park may appear in this area as well housing units and panels. From my own experience, however, I would not highly recommend it, especially in areas that you do not know and do not know if it is safe there. It could easily happen that you save on parking fees, but for that you find your car stolen – which easily happens in broad daylight. If you risk it anyway, definitely do do not leave any valuables in the car.
Better in the garage than on the street?
The last two options for where to park are business center and parking garages. For merchants, you can try, for example, in Novodvorské Square, where parking is free all day, then in Arcades in Pankrácwhere they are free for 2 hours or in DBK Budějovickábut where it is free for only 30 minutes on weekdays and 3 hours on weekends. Each additional started hour is for 50 crowns. However, it is advantageous if you buy over 200 crowns in Bill, then a QR code will be printed on your receipt, which will extend your parking by a full two hours and it will pay off.
In the case of parking houses, you also have a relatively large number to choose from, so you just have to choose. Parking options are available, for example Mr. Parkite in Lomnická Street, then in garages Pankrác in Na Křivině street, or also in the public car park Budějovická section 3. You will also find garages at the Prague Uprising AND in Nusle you will even find a P + R car park. If you are going to park at one of the mentioned points, then do not forget to look at their website and also how the reservation or payment is made.
What is the price
In the case of blue and mixed zones, the price per hour of parking will be varied, as the “four” covers a relatively large part of the cadastral area. And so somewhere you pay only 35 crowns per hour, and elsewhere 60 crowns. It is therefore necessary to check in advance where you will stand and prepare a financial reserve for it.
As for the shopping center, there always you have some free time and then the next counted hours are paid. In most cases, it will be 50 crowns per hour. However, on the ticket that comes out of the machine, you will have an exact attempt written, as well as there is an amount for it, if you accidentally lose the ticket from parking – e.g.
Parking prices in parking garages they are also different so it is advisable to find out this information before the trip, after all, it will be the easiest way, given that in most cases you have to make an online reservation before the trip.
