What public transport for Annecy and its suburbs?
The City of Annecy is organizing a meeting-debate on November 9 to present to residents the two scenarios selected by the community council of the Greater Annecy agglomeration to facilitate travel in the area.
Mobility is a major issue for a city the size of Annecy. To make travel more fluid and significantly improve the living environment of Annecy residents, the Greater Annecy agglomeration has carried out a comprehensive study on the future of its network. On October 21, the elected representatives of the community council adopted two scenarios. The City of Annecy is organizing a meeting-debate on November 9 to present them to residents.
The two scenarios
Whatever the scenario adopted, all the “branches” will be public transport on an integral own site (TCSPi); a major asset to guarantee the reliability and frequency of passages.
- Scenario “F” proposes a BRT (Bus with a high level of service) on the 5 branches of the future network (west bank – Seynod – Epagny – Pringy – Les Glaisins).
- Scenario “E” proposes the BRT on the west bank branches – Epagny – Glaisins and a Tramway on the Seynod and Pringy branches.
These two orientations will be put to the vote of the Community Council of Grand Annecy on November 18.
Open dialogue
The people of Annecy are the first to be affected by the construction of these infrastructures. This is why the City of Annecy invites residents to a meeting on Tuesday, November 9 at 7 p.m. at the Eugène Verdun room (Bonlieu – Annecy). On this occasion, the two scenarios will be presented and open to debate. Speakers provide their insight and experience on the implementation of iCTSPs in similar territories.
Two other meetings are organized by the agglomeration of Grand Annecy:
- Tuesday November 2 at 7 p.m. at the Espace Rencontre (39 route de Thônes in Annecy).
- Tuesday November 16 at 7 p.m. in the Waters and Forests room (113 boulevard du Fier in Annecy).
In accordance with the regulations in force, the health pass and the wearing of a mask are compulsory.
