PMP MEP Eugen Tomac announced that the European Union will support the Republic of Moldova with 60 million euros, in order to overcome the crisis in the energy sector.
“In the face of the Russian blackmail on gas supplies to the Republic of Moldova, the European Union comes with a consistent support. Over 60 million euros are offered to the Government of Chisinau – support that contributes to efforts to overcome the gas crisis, which triggered the state alert in the energy sector.
This aid shows the level of trust that Europe has in the administration of the second Romanian state and the respect it has for all the citizens of the Republic of Moldova.
Also today, in Brussels, the Association Agreement between the Republic of Moldova and the EU was consolidated by including the Republic of Moldova in the research and innovation program “Horizon Europe” of the Union, worth 95.5 billion euros.
It is a huge opportunity for researchers across the Prut, who will benefit from development opportunities in the science and technology sector, which will stimulate economic growth and job creation.
Through concrete actions, we take new, safer steps to achieve what we all do not want: to be united in Europe! “, Wrote Eugen Tomac on Facebook
