Three innovative fashion projects together receive 150,000 euros from the City of Antwerp

From eighteen entries, the three companies that scored highest in terms of innovation and growth potential were selected. Each of these will receive 50,000 euros to take new steps.
Mutani, Kos! and Polygonal support from the City of Antwerp for further development
Mutani is a young company that brings together creative fashion designers with tech experts to co-create digital fashion that can be used in games and the metaverse. These designs are sold as NFTs. This way of working not only offers an interesting creative challenge, but also a new business model for designers. With the financial support, Mutani wants to ‘anchor that the business model works in place as early adapters in this pioneering domain’. The next project is the Antwerp Cyber Six, in which six alumni of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts Antwerp are invited to go through the steps towards digitization with Mutani.
Chose! Is an online platform that makes sustainable fashion brands and shops easy to find for consumers using filters. making more general public accessible to a wider audience. The platform includes sustainable shops in Antwerp, shops that are working on sustainability. With the financial support of Cosh! ‘Even more committed to digitization’, as the message reads.
The third project to receive financial support is Polygonal. The Hoboken-based company wants to set up an online platform for digitally designing, customizing and sharing clothing patterns. it brought together designers and production experts with advanced in developing and refining algorithms. The platform can be used by fashion designers, customers and built. With the financial contribution, Polygonal wants to ‘develop an existing prototype into a user-friendly digital platform, accessible to external users’.
