The Prague 5 City Council approved the Medium-Term Plan for the Development of Social Services and Related Services in the Prague 5 City District for the period 2022 – 2024. As stated by the Prague 5 City Council Councilor for Social Affairs, JUDr. Petr Lachnit: “The creation of a new medium-term plan for social services was preceded by the activities of three working groups focused on seniors, people with disabilities, children, family, youth, people at risk of social exclusion, people in crisis, ethnic groups and national minorities. Then the Steering Group of Community Planning of the City District of Prague 5 approved. Part of these activities was the implementation of a questionnaire survey of users and the general public with the aim of mapping the needs of citizens. ”

Employees of the social department performed SWOT analyzes based on the needs and requirements of providers, users and contracting authorities, focused on the area of ​​all three working groups. The results of the analysis were used as a basis for measuring social services and services related to priorities for patterns, measures and known activities. During the process, working groups met regularly to form the basis for steering group meetings. Based on the requirements of working groups, users and social service providers, they were reopened community planning website of the Prague 5 district with a catalog of social service providers. Visitors to the portal are continuously informed about the community planning process and the events that are being prepared for them. Councilor Petr Lachnit further stated: “With the creation and approval of the Medium-Term Plan for the Development of Social Services for the period 2022 – 2024, our work does not end, but on the contrary begins. Community planning and the development of social and related services is a never-ending process in which all stakeholders must be actively involved – providers, users, the contracting authority and the general public. Through regular meetings of working groups, cooperation with organizations and the public, mutual listening and discussions, the Medium-Term Plan will be a living document that will respond to needs and opportunities.
