In October, the Czech Stepping Championship was recorded in the Kbely sports hall. For this event, the capital city of Prague provided a non-investment special-purpose individual subsidy in the amount of 50 thousand crowns, which was approved by Prague councilors.
“Support for sports and sporting events is very important for both racers and fans, who were deprived of this spectacle throughout the hard lockdown and associated restrictions. As we ourselves, it is necessary to maintain oneself permanently physically, but also mentally, because sport is one of the best forms of preventing a number of health diseases. In addition, dance is a sport that can be practiced by anyone, even at an advanced age, which is why every dance sport event in Prague is very welcome, “said the councilor. m of Prague for sports Vít Šimral.
The competition took place in the age categories of children, adults and seniors and in disciplines such as solo, duet, trio, small groups and formations. Among the competitors, it was possible to see several world and European champions from various dance schools. Over 300 tap dancers entered and guests and famous faces of the Star Dance show also performed. As part of the Czech Republic Championships, the Tap Dance hobby festival was also held, where even recreational tap dancers could try out on the competition floor.
