Title of the exhibition: TOUCH THE SEA We are glad that we can show the rarest and most beautiful of our collections, so our exhibition attracts visitors of all generations and not only from the Czech Republic, but also from other countries throughout Europe. The world of sea shells and other marine natural products is fascinating for anyone who loves nature. Give yourself and your children an extraordinary experience and let them look into the mysterious depths of the oceans and discover the veil of mystery that surrounds sea shells! Treasures from all seas and oceans will give you energy and captivate you with their beauty! The aim of the exhibition is to bring the fascinating world of marine softness closer to the wider community of admirers of this beautiful part of nature. It is the largest event of its kind in Central and Eastern Europe. found on hundreds of exhibition tables, it will be possible to see thousands of different species of shells, from common to very rare deep-sea species with a diverse range of colors and shapes. Visitors will be enchanted and excited by shells from the smallest to the largest, often in record sizes. Many shells that will be seen here will be presented to the public for the first time and many of them are not even owned by the National Museum. There will also be newly discovered shells from extreme depths. As always, foreign collectors from Slovakia, France, Poland, Germany, Hungary and Austria will take part in the exhibition with examples of rare shells. Of course, members of the Czech Club of Shell Collectors (145 members) will also showcase the most interesting of their collections. The exhibition will be accompanied by a survey for all visitors to the most interesting exhibition collection. You accept three draws as the prize of a beautiful shell. Visitors who have some seashells at home would like to learn something they can bring and show to one of the organizers. We will be happy to help identify them or determine their value. There may be a unique and expensive piece among them. There will be a memory game with sea shells, the only one of its kind in the world. There will be a really rich program for children, such as live snail races for prizes, active games and other fun activities. The exhibition will also feature real black pearls from Tahiti, rare sea crabs, coins, stamps, sea-themed phone cards, as well as fossilized shells and other fossils and minerals.
