Prague – The USK Praha basketball players won the home match of the 3rd round of the European League over Szekszárd in Hungary, clearly 83:56 and won the second prize in this year’s prestigious competition. The best scorer of the Czech champions was the American pivot Brionna Jonesová with 18 points, her compatriot Alyssa Thomasová with a double point with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Not even 15 points of Zala Friškovecová were enough for the guests and they lost in the Euroleague and the third match.
In the next match of group A, the Prague team will visit the field of the reigning champion Ekaterinburg. He will play a duel there on October 27.
USK presented itself in the Euroleague in front of the crowded grandstands of the home hall in Královka after 20 months, for the first time since the duel with Venice in February 2020. and the WNBA.
Jones then became the most successful home player in the first quarter, and thanks to her six points, the Czech champion took the lead 24:12. In the course, María Conde and the best shooter added another one of the previous matches of two Euroleague matches so far.

The home players did not admit any complications in the final quarter either, and a week after winning the MBA Moscow by 25 points, they now won by another two points higher.
