Jaguar – Land Rover says no to stand at Brussels Motor Show 2022 | Auto55.be
huhThe Brussels Motor Show continues. You could read that for the first time on Auto55.be on 16 September. A day later, organizer Febiac confirmed the success of the fair, thanks to a ‘yes’ from car group Stellantis, which includes the brands Jeep, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Peugeot, Opel, Citroën and DS. That was a boost because Volvo, Tesla, Mazda and the brands of importer D’Ieteren are already absent. The volume brands Audi, Seat, Skoda and Volkswagen will also not be on display at the traditional high mass for the automobile at the Heysel in Brussels.
Jaguar – Land Rover doubts presence
The list of cancellations is not complete, as it turns out today. After all, the Belgian department of Jaguar – Land Rover just recently decided not to rent stand space at the Brussels Motor Show 2022. The two brands together traditionally cover about 2,000 square meters. A reed for a slimmed-down salon (from 9 exhibition halls in 2020 to six in 2022, read more about this here) becomes smaller in this way.
Not with a booth, but maybe…
“A big slimmed down salon gets even smaller”
The salon organizer is not throwing in the towel yet. Febiac would like to join the two British brands. A traditional booth is out of the question, but the salon team will offer creative, alternative proposals that would otherwise create Jaguar and Land Rover at the salon in a different way. For example, a ‘hybrid’ theme is being worked on that the British sisters may still be excited about. At Jaguar Land Rover in Belgium it is said that “those projects will be looked at”.
