First setback for ASVEL, Monaco easily dominates Dijon
ASVEL trapped in Strasbourg
A leading pack because… ASVEL experienced the throes of defeat for the first time this season in the league. On the Strasbourg floor, TJ Parker players were taken cold. Led by Tony Crocker (24 points, 7 rebounds), the Alsatian club took the lead from the first moments of the meeting… never to lose control. But, after having counted up to thirteen points in advance in the first quarter, the players of Lassi Tuovi were not however completely immune. Indeed, with a 14-2, the teammates of Elie Okobo (13 points) were able to reduce the gap for the same return to a length shortly before halftime. If the SIG raised its head on the return to the floor of the Rhénus, the Villeurbannais did not relax their grip but, after having equalized, they were unable to take the advantage on the scoreboard. A failure that the Alsatians did not let pass. Finishing the third quarter on an 8-2, the SIG regained control and crossed the last ten minutes of the meeting, trembling only once, when the ASVEL came back to two lengths. It is finally with an advantage of eight lengths that Strasbourg signs its first success of the season (82-74) when ASVEL is now at the level of five other teams, with Boulogne-Levallois leading the standings.
