“Today, and after three days of stalking, the prefect of Pas-de-Calais ordered the right to slaughter [du félin, ndlr] in order to avoid a potential danger for the population “, indicates the author of the petition.

He also condemns the owner of the feline who was not “able” to come forward to provide valuable information that would have allowed “the live capture of the animal”.
“Impossible to fall asleep”
Asked by Franceinfo, the prefecture explained that it favored security.
“In reality, it is impossible to put this animal to sleep. According to the veterinarian, it is necessary to be able to accommodate a hypodermic syringe, that implies a shot at 20 meters maximum from the animal. Nobody knows how to do that on a beast of which we are does not know the temperament and that is not reasonable. “
