126 Central Bohemian schools have at least one quarantined class
The Regional Hygiene Station in Central Bohemia registers 2,080 kindergartens, primary and secondary schools and children’s groups. Of these, the occurrence of coronavirus was confirmed in 148. However, this is to varying degrees. There was only one case somewhere, and it was not necessary to resort to a more drastic restriction; on the contrary, one primary school and one pediatric group remained closed due to coronavirus.
Dana Šalamunová from the regional hygienic stations told the daily on Thursday. On Friday, she specified the latest data on quarantine. “We have 126 schools in which at least one class is quarantined,” she said. According to her, coronavirus infection occurred in two dozen schools in Central Bohemia, but a detailed investigation found that it was not necessary to quarantine the entire class (or entire classes).
The only region that does not have a single school with quarantine measures (when one whole class was quarantined due to it) is now the Benešov district; One such school can be recorded in the Rakovnicko region and six in the Kolín and Příbram regions. On the contrary, schools with coronavirus scans are most numerous in the ring around the capital; in Prague-East and Prague-West there are a total of 31. They are followed by Berounsko (17 schools), Kladensko with Mělnicko and Mladoboleslavsko (14 each) and similarly in Kutnohorsko (13).
Information on the occurrence of coronavirus in schools will be published on Monday by the regional hygiene station the web. “Every Monday, a summary of the past week,” said Salamun.
