Tour de France 2022: a 4th stage between Dunkirk and Calais with many climbs
It is now official: the route of the Tour de France 2022 – unveiled at midday this Thursday – returns to Nord Pas-de-Calais after four years of absence. After three stages in Denmark including the Grand Départ from Copenhagen, the Grande Boucle will arrive in France with a rest day on Monday July 4 in Lille.
The next day, the start of the 4th stage will be given in Dunkirk on Tuesday July 5. The third port in France is hosting a stage for the 20th time in its history and a start for the 7th time including the Grand Départ in 2001. The latter gave the opportunity to a French rider, Christophe Moreau, to don the yellow jersey by winning the prologue.
After 172 kilometers of route, the peloton joins Calais, which arrived as a city for the first time in its history. An arrival on the Opal Coast via the Gis-Nez and Blanc-Nez caps.

Six listed climbs
